Upright at eight. Still in the pocket.
Paul O'Dell started on upright bass at eight and later picked up bass guitar. The instrument stayed. The rooms changed.
He has studied with Victor Wooten, Bunny Brunel, and Mike Frost. The work is split: software by day, live music at night — Pink Floyd, jazz/pop fusion, Billy Joel, and a quieter room for his own voice.
Long Island is home. The venue above is how the night is organized.
